Pt Pleasant: The inland section of Point Pleasant features many residential and commercial sections. Bridge avenue and Rt 88 have many businesses, as well as a park and ball field. If you want to be close to Point Pleasant Beach but away from the hustle and bustle of the summer areas, Pt. Pleasant Boro is perfect. It is just a short drive over the bridge to Bay Head or Pt. Pleasant Beach as well as close to Brick Township.
Pt Pleasant Beach: This is one of the most popular towns in Ocean County known for it’s family boardwalk with lots of amusements, an aquarium, the Jetty inlet, and a downtown area with many local businesses. The Inlet allows you to watch boats go in and out of the ocean including the large fishing boats. Many Waterfront restaurants including the classic Jack Baker’s Wharfside and Lobster Shanty. In town there is a Surf taco, Food Town, Dunkin Donuts, Jersey Mike’s, Italian Restaurants, European Restaurants and many local shops.
Bay Head: This classic town has beautiful historical Victorian homes. Known as a quiet town with uncrowded beaches and lakefront just south of Pt. Pleasant Beach. Lovely bed and breakfast inns, small shops and restaurants.
Mantoloking: Just south of Bay Head, features Mantoloking & Mantoloking Shores. No shopping or restaurants but they do offer the guarded beaches and many bay front homes. Mantoloking also offers oceanfront homes, and the Mantoloking Yacht club where your boat could be docked and secured. Mantoloking Shores offers the large Brick beach, and lots of lagoon front and cove front as well as bay front homes. The community of Mantoloking shores offers a bay front playground across from brick beach.
Normandy Beach: Normandy beach is a great family vacation area right in the middle of everything. Bay front homes as well as beautiful oceanfront homes. A small town just south of Mantoloking with some small shops and restaurants. Close to the bay beach and play ground and the Normandy beach yacht club.
Toms River North Beaches: Consisting of Ocean Beaches (I,II, III), Chadwick Beaches, Silver Beach, Monterey Beach,Seacrest Beach and other towns. Each of the communities are independent. The Ocean Beaches are comprised of smaller deed restricted beach homes that offer the beach and bay to all residents. Guarded beaches with protected areas and playgrounds. These homes are smaller and therefore, a more affordable option but still close to Lavallette and Pt. Pleasant Beach.
Lavallette: Lavallette is centrally located on the Barnegat Bay Penninsula. Just north of Ortley Beach and just south of Toms River Beaches North. Protected and guarded beaches, playgrounds, tennis courts, bike rentals, docks for fishing and crabbing and a boardwalk. Many small shops to enjoy lunch or shopping. Have lunch by the bay! Watch the boats sail out of the Lavallette Yacht club, or enjoy the sidewalk sales in town on rt 35 during the summer. The amusement free boardwalk is a nice quiet way to exercise or to just enjoy the ocean. Featuring some Gazebos and beach entrances. Stop at the Crab’s Claw for lunch or dinner, grab a coffee at Dunkin Donuts, stop and get some supplies at Riteaid, go shopping at B&B, need to fix something, stop at Lavallette Hardware. Pizza? Try Lennys or Mias. Lots to do in Lavallette, it is one of the most popular shore vacation towns.
Ortley Beach: This community is building back up after “Sandy” and many new beautiful homes are being built. The bay side park has been re-built and features basketball courts, tennis courts and a playground overlooking the bay. There are some nice restaurants in Ortley Beach to enjoy a great summer lunch or dinner. Stop at the Sunny Hunny for Breakfast or Lunch. Or go to Barnacle Bills arcade. There is also a small boardwalk in Ortley beach.
Seaside Heights: Most well known for the TV Show “Jersey Shore”, Seaside is doing all it can to try to lose that stigma created by the TV show. They have built a fantastic new boardwalk and are in process of re-building the southern end which was enveloped in a fire a year after Sandy. Stop at the Sawmill for some EX-Large pizza, or go to the Waterpark. Enjoy the amusements and boardwalk games on the Seaside Boardwalk.
Seaside Park: This town features many large Victorian homes and the southern section, many smaller homes. It has a nice town section in the middle of town with shops and food. Island Beach State Park is located at the southern most part.
